Ms. M has played perfectly against me at 9-piece handicap, so this time we played at 8-piece handicap. I was told that she practised using Piyo Shogi.
At 8-pieces, the handicap giver has two golds, so it's not possible to promote the major pieces just by moving them.
What is more, even after promoting them it's impossible to break Uwate's camp using only the horse and the dragon, because there are as many as three defensive pieces (the king and two golds).
OK, so what should we do?
